Little Bros

Dave's 34th Birthday was yesterday (August 1st) so we enjoyed another weekend of celebrations. Dave's wish list included having his birthday dinner at "BJ's" in Laguna Beach, seeing "Dark Knight" and hangin' out at as a family at his favorite beach. We made it all happen, and me & the boys had some fun little surprises as well...

This was taken the night before Dave's b-day. Dylan helped me make some Chocolate Chip Cookies for Dad (his fave). Connor got up on the stool and wanted to get in on the action. :)

Dylan helped me return the favor from my b-day and we decorated our place with blue balloons and streamers (Dave's fave color) and Dylan said "Happy Birthday, Dad!" when Dave walked in from work. :)

Dylan decided to give Dad a few of his fave candy bars for his present, and was very happy to help him open it! :)

We were so excited we scored our favorite booth to sit in at "BJ's" in downtown Laguna Beach for Dave's b-day dinner. This particular booth faces out to the street so you have this great view of Main Beach across the street. The first time me and Dave ate at this location we sat here, it's a little cozier in that booth now that two little guys have joined us. :) The very first "BJ's" me and Dave ate at was in Lahaina, Maui. We didn't realize at the time it was a small chain so we were excited when we stumbled upon this location in Laguna the year after. Even though they've opened up many locations since then and it's lost a bit of its charm, we still love going and reminiscing every time...

Dylan gladly helped Dad blow out the candle on his Chocolate Chip Pizookie! Connor wasn't too sure about the fire from the candle. :)

Later that night me and Dave went to The Irvine Spectrum to see the new Batman movie "Dark Knight". We were curious to see if it lived up to the hype. So did it? Um, yeah. There were times during the movie I couldn't help leaning over to Dave and saying, "That was cool." It's been a while since we've seen a movie this good.

Connor is our brave little dude and takes off for the ocean all by himself. His good big bro helps walk him back to shore. :)

Dave did some boogie boarding and caught some fun waves...

And then the coolest moment of the day...Dylan went boogie boarding for the first time!!! He was a little nervous, but in the end had fun and can't wait to go again! :)
