Afternoon Drive

After much discussion about what we should do this afternoon as a family, Dave suggested we go for a drive. So we jumped in the car and embarked on a little adventure! We took PCH from Laguna Beach to Newport Beach. We made some fun little stops along the way...

Our first stop was at the 'Crystal Cove "Ruby's" Shake Shake', it's a mini version of a Ruby's Diner on the side of PCH in Newport Coast overlooking Crystal Cove Beach. We love going here, Dylan was stoked to get a hot dog, usually we just get a shake. :)

Then we stopped at Inspiration Point, a little overlook area, in Corona Del Mar. It was an absolutely beautiful day and we think every person who owned a boat had it out today, it was great to see the variety of mariners. The boys had fun running around on the little grassy knoll there. :)

Still driving through Corona Del Mar, Dave noticed a prestigious neighborhood that didn't have a gate, so we drove in there to check out the amazing homes. After a minute, Dave realized this is where that home that's on the market for $75 million is located. It was ridiculous that we could drive right by it, and here is the front door...

The last part of our drive was along Newport Harbor.

After a quick bite for dinner, I asked Dylan if there was any place we should go on our way home and he said we needed to take Dad to the new candy store! :) We took Dad to "Powell's Sweet Shoppe" and enjoyed some yummy gelato. They boys were cute checkin' out the huge pile of candy stacked up against the window. And Connor was way too cute playing with some balloons attached to a sidewalk sign around the corner.

Even though we live in an area blessed with great abundance, we enjoy savoring the simple things in life. The little bros provide many of those "It's the Little Things in Life" moments that we love and cherish...
