Frighteningly Good Time

Spiderman and Lil' Vampire had a spooky good Halloween night. They were too cute trick-or-treating. Connor rocked the lil' vampire costume just like Dylan did when he wore it, I was even able to get the same shoes for Connor that I had for Dylan. :) Then we hit this big Halloween carnival near us. Dylan's faves were the bumper cars and this huge bounce house/slide that he was able to go on about 5 times. On the way home, we decided to get some treats (as if we didn't have enough). I needed my hot chocolate with a shot of pumpkin spice, from Starbucks of course. Dave needed a Slurpee. And last, we went to our fave candy store - Powell's Sweet Shoppe. Dylan and Connor trick-or-treated in their party room with candy they had set up in there for Halloween. The owners were dressed up as Willy Wonka and a Oompa Loompa. They took pictures of the boys for their costume contest. We didn't know they would have all that goin' on when we went there so it was a fun bonus for our Halloween night. We hope everyone had a frighteningly good time on Halloween this year...

"Spooky" Movie Nite

Tonight we had Spooky Movie Nite...we watched "Casper's Scare School" and ate yummy pumpkin goodies. Dylan wanted to be in full costume for the event. :) Dylan and I took some "scared" pictures for fun. :) And while the movie was going, we carved our pumpkins. We did a spider on the big pumpkin in honor of Dylan being Spiderman this year and a silly bat on the small pumpkin in honor of the bats we saw at the Science Center. Dylan really thought the bats were cool. Thanks for carving them so good, Dad...they turned out spoooooky!

Too Cute To Spook!

The kids got to wear their Halloween costumes to preschool today.
Dylan and his buddy Ethan were both superheroes! :)

"Totally T-Ball"

Dave and I officially began a new "career" today...Sports Mom and Dad. :) Dylan had his first practice today playing T-Ball. They have practices on Wednesdays and games on Saturday mornings. It's a class called "Totally T-Ball" offered through the Community Center near us, we thought we'd have him take this class to see how he likes it and then look at joining a league depending on how it goes. Dylan was WAY excited to start playing, and we are eager to see him build new skills individually and as part of a team. Yay Dylan!!!O.K., on a random sidenote, I thought it was so flippin' cute when they stretched out before practice. Dave thought it was funny that I thought it was so cute. They're little mini people doing these little stretches in a big circle and it was too cute. :)

Dylan doing his "happy jumps" while waiting his turn. :)

Patch Hoppin'

Today we hit the Pumpkin Patch at the Irvine Regional Park. They have a train there for the kids to ride. There's a tunnel towards the end of the train ride and for Halloween it became a "spooky" tunnel. Dave was able to get an absolutely hilarious pic of the boys being just a little bit apprehensive as we entered the spooky tunnel (they were o.k., once we got in there they loved it). :) We had a ton of fun in the Haunted House. Dylan went off to Connor about how spooky it was in there! :) They both had a blast in the Pumpkin Bounce House, it was Connor's first time in a bounce house and he couldn't get enough. Before we left Dylan found us a great pumpkin. :)

Last night we hit Pumpkin City's Pumpkin Farm in Laguna Hills for Family Home Evening. Dylan tackled the ATV ride and tore it up! He also rode the little train, went on the swing ride and jumped in the bounce house. Connor took a ride on a racecar and loved feeding the pigs, chickens and other various farm animals around the patch. :) We had a great time together as a family and Dylan picked out another good pumpkin for us. :)
